Sono Luca Luciani, vivo a Roma e “lukshots” è l’angolo di web dove cerco di esprimere la mia passione per la fotografia. Ho iniziato molti anni fa a coltivare questa passione in modo saltuario con le fotocamere dei miei genitori o usando fotocamere prese in prestito da amici.
Nel 2003 con l’entrata in scena delle fotocamere digitali la passione è diventata più costante. Ho iniziato a portare sempre con me la mia prima fotocamera digitale: Cyber-shot DSC-P71. La possibilità di fare foto senza limiti ha dato l’avvio ad un’esperienza che non si è più fermata. Il desiderio di sperimentare e la ricerca continua di situazioni differenti mi ha portato a sfruttare al massimo le potenzialità della fotocamera fino a percepire i limiti. Questo è successo anche con le altre fotocamere che ho posseduto (Sony DSC-V1, Nikon D40x, Nikon D7000), fino ad arrivare all’attuale Nikon D750, che mi sta regalando grandi soddisfazioni.
La fotografia ha fatto da collettore tra tutte le mie passioni: cucina (mi piace cucinare e fotografare il risultato completata la ricetta), digitale (le fotocamere incorporano sempre più tecnologia digitale e a me piace il modo digitale fino al punto di fornire consulenza a privati, professionisti e piccole aziende in questo ambito), informatica (mi è sempre piaciuto sperimentare e provare qualsiasi tipo di software, questo mi ha permesso di raggiungere un elevato livello di informatizzazione, la post-produzione fotografica è ormai inevitabile per chi vuole fare foto di qualità), web design (realizzo siti internet e questo mi ha permesso di creare anche questo sito), natura (amo vivere in mezzo alla natura ed è stato inevitabile che macro e natura diventassero i temi fotografici che prediligo), viaggi (connubio scontato) e la vela (amo il mare e amo andare a vela, questo mi offre panorami e dettagli difficili da cogliere in altro modo).

My name is Luca Luciani, I live in Rome and “lukshots” is my internet corner where I try to express my passion for photography. This fascination began many years ago using my parents camera when I was little and later borrowing photographic equipment from friends.
In 2003 with the arrival of digital cameras my passion became more and more steady. My first digital camera, the Cyber-shot DSC-P71, was my faithful companion everywhere I went. Technology gave me the opportunity to shoot as many photos as I wanted without restrictions and my desire to constantly experience and research made me aware of the camera potential and limits. This happened with all the cameras I used over the years (Sony DSC-V1, Nikon D40x, Nikon D7000) and with my latest and beloved actual camera too, the Nikon D750, wich more often than not gives me great photos.
Photography has always been a constant between all my passions: Cooking (I love cooking and taking pictures of the dish afterwards), Digital Technology (cameras are becoming more and more digital today and I’m very much into this field being a consultant for professionals and small business), Information Technology (I’ve always experimented with different softwares and lately I’ve became very adept with image processing since it is now a requirement in order to produce quality photo), Web Design (I’m used to create and manage websites like this one), Nature (my great passion for nature has been the main inspiration for my shots and for the use of macro lens), Travel (travel and photography since the dawn of time have always been a perfect pair), Sailing (my love for the sea and sailing give me the perfect opportunity to search for beautiful views and shots otherwise impossible to realize).

Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂 ….. and another Nikon user – great cameras aren’t they?! I progressed in a similar way to you from a point and shoot to my first DSLR, a D70s. Now photography is more than a passion, it’s an addiction and I feel withdrawal symptoms when I can’t satisfy my cravings!
